Earful has no accounts. We collect only what we need to answer your questions, and we never sell your data.
What we collect
Your questions. What you ask Earful, by Siri or in the app, plus any link or screenshot you attach, so we can find answers.
An anonymous device ID. A random identifier used for free-tier limits and abuse protection. It isn’t linked to your name, email or Apple Account.
Subscription status. Apple tells us whether you have Pro. We never see your payment details.
What we don’t collect
No name, email, contacts, location or advertising identifier. Your history stays on your device.
Shared links
When you share an answer, we save a copy so the link works. Anyone with the link can see it. Shared pages aren’t listed in search engines, and you can delete a link from the app at any time.
Who helps us
To build an answer, your question is sent to search and AI providers that process it on our behalf: web search and page-reading services, X for recent posts, and an AI model provider that writes the verdict. Our servers run on Vercel. These providers don’t receive your device ID.
How long we keep it
Questions and answers are cached for up to 24 hours to keep things fast, then deleted. Shared links stay until you delete them. Watchlist items stay until you stop watching.
Your choices
Clear your history in the app, delete any shared link, or email us to remove anything tied to your device ID.
